The Business Information Consultant ( Pharmacy Cost of Care Analytics) is responsible for coordinating, analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations on data related to Pharmacy cost of care, pharmacy trends, and other Medicare book of business related issues/metrics. Serves as subject matter expert on cost of care savings’ initiatives
This position must sit onsite at one of the listed locations:
Atlanta, GA; St. Louis, MO; Virginia Beach, VA; Morristown, NJ; Mason, OH; Las Vegas, NV; Wallingford, CT; Louisville, KY; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :
Identifies and evaluates cost savings opportunities for Medicare Part D
Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. CoC program Data, for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance anomalies and deviations from expectations.
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as ad hoc reports as needed. May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. Make recommendations based upon data analysis.
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
Provides guidance to other data analysts.
Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.
Ability to manipulate large sets of data.
Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills.
Pharmacy experience preferred
Medicare Part D experience is preferred.
Intermediate level of Excel is required, advanced preferred.
Experience with SAS and/or SQL is preferred.
Experience with Power Pivot preferred
Actuarial background is a plus
