What you will do:
The ProxySG is the core technology platform used to protect the largest organizations in world, whether deployed on-premise, on IaaS platforms or as part of the Symantec Web Security Service.
In this position you will:
Develop and publish Product requirements for existing and new Products including detailed user stories through an agile engagement process.
Build relationships with customers, sales teams and channel partners to understand customer and market requirements and environments.
Work with engineering teams to provide governance on research and product direction to define release themes and corresponding Product deliverables.
Drive Product from initial concept through development to timely and successful completion.
Participate in engineering Product design reviews and provide detailed feedback on customer expectations.
Work with program management on Product life cycle, Product End of Sales/End of Life, inventory analysis and other program management activities.
Work with the marketing team on positioning, Product introductions and launches.
Manage a team of 2-3 product managers.
Some travel required (25%), including International travel.
What you will bring:
5 years+ of previous product management experience including in depth knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
Working knowledge and experience with networking or cyber security technologies and infrastructure (e.g. firewall, proxies, web filtering, security, reporting, etc.)
Demonstrated working knowledge of application security would be an asset.
Experience interacting with customers to identify requirements and present technical ideas and concepts.
Results oriented; is able to get things done and motivates others to action.
Able to work across various organizations and with internal and external customers and channel partners.
Excellent communication skills including presentation and writing.
Ability to work independently on issues with diverse scope, analyzing various business elements and determining how to use various resources to meet goals.
